Please include a link to your announcement, and ensure you’re really living and breathing in the social media world –this is not a small aspect of your role.

    Seeking Social Media Professionals?
If you’re seeking to connect with community advocates and community managers there are few resources

List of Enterprise Social Media Professionals
This list, which started with just 8 names continues to grow as folks submit to it. List of Social Computing Strategists and Community Managers for Enterprise Corporations 2008 Social Media Professionals.

I’m seeking folks that are related to full time hands on social media strategy and community managers, to be on this list, so let me know if you see these folks, and please submit them –try to include links to announcements on blogs or on the wire. Also, I probably will not include executive management changes on this list at social media companies, as the list would go on and on, but you can feel free to express yourself in the comments!

    1. Hey there,

Just wanted to add my own move to the chart, where I’ve recently left my position of VP, Strategy at Emerge Digital to Join Trellist Marketing | Technology (http://trellist.com) as senior associate: leading the new Social Media, Interactive Strategy practices.

Thanks for creating this series. Lots of good links and info.

      Michael

    2. Jeremiah,

I would love to start working in the Social Media industry and will be leaving my current job where I have been employed for eight years this spring.

      Any recommendations?

      Thanks.

    3. Hi Jeremiah,

I recently left my position and Cadence Design Systems as social media/Web Community manager for a newly created role at Lithium Technologies (www.lithium.com).

I™m part of the Community Management Services team. I manage the company™s growing corps of online forums moderators. I™ll also helping clients rollout and manage corporate blog programs.

    4. Another great series Jeremiah. After many years and many startups as an Internet entrepreneur I decided to take a position with my parents business as President of Oppliger Banking Systems. We’re a company that sells and services banking equipment – things like ATMs, video surveillance, digital video, alarms, vaults and drive-up systems. My family is still involved in the company and I’ve recently made the decision to resign my role and move back into my passion: technology. Life is too short to do something you’re not passionate about, so I’m out looking for an innovative technology company to join!

As you know, I write a blog called Everyone’s Doing It where I write about social media and technology related to financial institutions.

      Thanks Jeremiah

    5. Hi Jeremiah,

I just lit-up our connection to our local real estate community here in metro Detroit. It’s not much yet, but the plan is to have a dozen or so contributors and editors.

      http://www.century21town-country.com/blog

I am the Director of Interactive Marketing (internet marketing, community mgr, social media mgr, etc., etc., etc.) for my real estate brokerage of 650 or so real estate agents. As far as I can tell, we are the first real estate brokerage in our area to really kick something like this off at a company level.

I’m excited to see where it takes us! Thanks for your great blog!

    6. Thanks for the congratulations, looking forward to sharing more good news. It’s an incredibly interesting time for advertising and media right now, and great to have Dave on board to help shape the future.

    7. Wow, what a great blog!

I am looking for a social media position in the Dallas, TX area. DallasMusicWire.com is a social network that connects local musicians. In turn, members have the opportunity to sign up for a free magazine. This was a college project that landed me 1 of 3 honors recognition for entrepreneurship at Southern Methodist Univeristy…a top 20 business school(graduated May ’08). Tomorrow I will be giving my first lecture to the entrepreneurship class at SMU. Yay!

I can be contacted through my site.

      Thanks Jeremiah!

    8. Hi,

I lead up the social media products at TripAdvisor, the world’s largest online travel community. I’m looking to add another product manager to my team. We’re in the Boston area but are open to speaking to candidates from elsewhere as well. The job description is online at http://www.tripadvisor.com/careers.

      Thanks!

    9. Fantastic resource you’re providing; and am following every one of these links to find relevancy for myself or others I know.

I’ve now left my position with ContentNext Media, publisher of paidContent.org and producer of events such as EconSocialMedia. As sales director over 2.5years I produced the most revenue and helped the company towards it’s recent sale to Guardian Media Group.

So it’s on to the next new challenge! My expertise is with sales, events, and business development; and my base is in Los Angeles. I hope to ride the crest of traditional media to new media to social media these last 20 years.

      Cheers!

    10. Thank you for the list Jeremiah. I will definitely be going through these during this job search. I was wondering, what are some of your favorite colorado companies? Social thing and hivelive are doing some really great things.

Thank you for the constant flow of ideas and great advice.

    11. Hi Jeremiah, thank you for the opportunity to contribute to this list.

The company I work for Avid Technology (NASDAQ: AVID), has recently made the jump from social media experimentation to full-fledged community evangelism and customer engagement on social channels. I’ve recently changed roles from SM part-timer as eMarketing Manager to lead this effort full-time as Social Media Strategist.

Looking forward to following best practices on Web-Strategist.com.

    12. Hello,

      Thanks for this forum Jeremiah.

I just left a Community Manager role at a start up that made mobile apps for the iPhone.

I stepped into a huge Community Manager role at Friend Finder Networks. Friend Finder is a collection of 37 sites with about 28 million members in 180 countries.

Most of the sites have adult content, so it should be one of the more interesting Community Manager positions. Be interesting to see how much content drives a community manager position.
