It’s my three-year anniversary as a venture capitalist, since 2023.
To date, we’ve invested in approximately 19 AI startups (and several more with smaller checks) poised to become Blitzscalers. So aprox 25 investments in 3 years, truly talented founders working on the front edge of business and tech.
Since 2021, I have been a limited partner in the first fund at Blitzscaling Ventures, and I was offered the opportunity to become a General Partner in the GenAI market.
The data shows that most people become VCs in their 40s. Why in mid-career? You need to have enough business cycles under your belt, have a broad enough network, It’s also helpful that you have run companies, and ideally an angel investor record. This all tracks.
One of the things that makes me unique as a VC is that I have a real passion for ecosystem development and community, and I love to publish and speak about where I think the future trends are going. This gives me an edge to see more and to help the companies that we’ve invested in.
I feel like my entire career has culminated in this career role. I can imagine myself being a VC for the rest of my career, but we will see what unfolds.
Here’s more details on our investment thesis. Thank you for being part of my journey.
