The web is quickly moving to real-time, people share the information about what they’re doing while their doing it. Yet the next step beyond real time, is future-looking data, which is called the Intention Web (get up to speed by reading this post). In an effort to map out this trend in 2010, let’s list out the vendors, companies, and beyond that will facilitate this type of forward looking data.
There are countless opportunities for people to connect with others with the same goals, or for companies that want to serve them as new technologies like Social CRM evolve and develop. Scope: These Intention websites facilitate a person to publish their future goals in the context of their community, or sometimes even in public. For example, an unshared CAL isn’t a qualifier.
To The Future! A List of Intention Enabled Websites
- 43 Things: This “wish list”, they suggest that you make a list on 43 Things and see what changes happen in your life. They encourage you to connect with others with the same goals.
- Coachsurfing: Helps those traveling to other cities to find homes and couches to stay on, by organizing availability. (thanks jasminw)
- Facebook Events: Facebook allows members to RSVP for future events, publish their own events, or see what friends are doing.
- Localist: Allows those in DC and Baltimore to find events, publish their intent to attend, and organize with friends (thanks Mary)
- Meetup: Encourages groups to organize events, plan events, and connect with others.
- Plancast: Is a social network that allows members to publish their future plans. It allows people to see who is going to other future goals, and to publish to Facebook, and Twitter.
- Tripit: This website allows travelers to plan out their travel itineraries. (thanks Sameer)
- Upcoming: This Yahoo owned property allows people to find, publish, and share future events.

Foursquare, Gowalla, Loopt, Brightkite and other check-in based apps should consider adding: “I'm going to be at…” features.

I think so as email is again form of a message which we usually send intentionally to others but in this kind of a service we know what would be the right time for the other person to read it and I think thats what intentional web is all about, Plus I must says you can get your thoughts on this a lot better then me.
As much as it pains me to say it b/c it is one of the least innovative sites out there, Evite seems to fit the bill of intention enabled websites.
Socializr seems to be gaining traction, and is a much nicer alternative to Evite. It lets you add external accounts to include events from Facebook, MySpace, Upcoming, and Evite.
Jeremiah, http://www.mixin.com fits your criteria completely. The current version has limited functionalities, but you can already check it out (also available on your iPhone, same url). The upcoming version will be really great, including full integration with facebook (fb events, creation of events on fb, social graph, fb application) in addition to twitter quick post, gCal synchro, dopplr and more services. This version will also provide more widgets to not only aggregate your social peripheral vision but also share your upcoming micro-agenda. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want more information.

A few music industry related intention based sites I'm aware of that were around as early as 2006:
http://www.eventful.com – fulfills the intent of the fan and the artist.
http://www.ilike.com – again, let's artists know how many fans want to see them in their city and notifies fans when an artist lists a tour near them.
The future as I see it – a mix of intention based, location based and augmented reality paired with RFID and micropayments (NFC, Square):
I link my wish list to my geo-targeted shopping application. I'm driving and my phone vibrates, tells me I am passing a store that has items on my wish list. Also displays stores within 10 miles and what the prices are there. I walk into the store and my phone presents me with a QR code my friend sent to my phone that they got from a print ad, tv commercial or sign for a list of instant rebates on the items I have listed in my wish list that we both share. I walk up to the box, scan the QR code with my phone and it brings up a product tour, all the ratings and reviews on that product with ratings, reviews, wish list items and products purchased by my friends and family. I hold my camera up to the product and application/benefits type images are overlaid on top of what I am looking at. My phone asks would you like to purchase? I decide to purchase using my Sqaure – payment enabled phone. The RFID on the box is then deactivated and I am free to put the box in my cart and walk out of the store without ever seeing a cashier. I then have the option to broadcast my purchase and share the mobile QR code instant rebate with my friends. My wish list check off my purchase and sends me a timely reminder to leave a review as well as suggest related items I may be interested in including items my friends bought – kinda like Amazon I can see apps like twitter360 partnering with ilike, eventful or live nation to take the intent idea a step further. Now fans can connect with other fans (like fellow friends and street team members) at an event. How about when you go food shopping? Again, a shopping list is created, you get to the store and that little sign on the front inside of the cart? It's now a screen with a map that guides you through the store via GPS to the items you need in the fastest route possible. Tie coupons to that – no more shelf talker printers in an asile printing coupons. A QR code is sent to your mobile device to scan at the register.

In my opinion, you've left off the biggest of all — Goog. After all, 90% of Google's revenue comes for harvesting 'purchase intent' — majority of the ones listed above converge on the intent of events / places.
'Intent' can be relevant to just about anything — intent to buy, intent to eat, intent to visit etc..
