A report called the Vendor Product Catalog of Community Platforms will soon be published for Forrester clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding: Lithium, White Label Social network, Raises $12mm<\/strong><br \/>\nThis white label social network is growing it&#8217;s reach <a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2008\/06\/30\/lithium-technologies-scores-money-to-revitalize-community-support-for-enterprises\/\">and raised a cool 12<\/a>, I&#8217;ve updated the bottom of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.web-strategist.com\/blog\/2007\/02\/12\/list-of-white-label-social-networking-platforms\/\">index page<\/a> that is keeping track of funding, partnerships, and alliances.  For many white labels (I have the stats) this 12 can take them pretty far, or prepare them to go shopping.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interview: Q&#038;A with LinkedIn<\/strong><br \/>\nGet up close and personal with <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.zdnet.com\/feeds\/?p=128#more-128\">Allen Blue who shares his post-funding plans<\/a>, Company Groups and corporate intranets, do see references to where I think they can succeed in the enterprise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MySpace launches Data Availability<\/strong><br \/>\nMySpace is fully <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techcrunch.com\/2008\/06\/26\/myspace-opens-up-the-data-pipe-with-launch-of-data-availability\/\">launching Data Availability, <\/a>a nod to the open movement where hopefully members, their graphics, and data will quickly move from one network to another.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Legal: Facebook anointed over Connect U<br \/>\n<\/strong>Connect U and Facebook have been going at each other over who was first to the sandbox, judge now hampering down, <a href=\"http:\/\/bits.blogs.nytimes.com\/2008\/06\/26\/judge-ends-facebooks-feud-with-connectu\/\">anointing Facebook the winner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verticals: More niche social networks appear<\/strong><br \/>\nMany, many, many more social networks for every niche appear, <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2008\/06\/26\/efactor\/\">one for investors and enterpreneurs<\/a>, and another for those what want to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialmediaportal.com\/PressReleases\/2008\/07\/Breastfeeding-com-Launches-First-Ever-Social-Network-for-Birth-Related-Medical-Professionals.aspx\">breastfeed<\/a>. Read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/technology\/2008\/jun\/26\/socialnetworking.finerday\">more from the Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campaign: Cartier Embellishes MySpace<\/strong><br \/>\nFamous Jeweller Chooses MySpace to Introduce Latest Collection &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/lovebycartier\">Love by Cartier<\/a>&#8216;, this multi-media microsite has social features, media, and brand assets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobile: Whrrl supports Razr, Blackberry and Samsung<\/strong><br \/>\nWe continue to see more social networks appear for mobile devices, now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whrrl.com\/\">Whrrl <\/a>will spread it&#8217;s reach by adding additional devices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>People: Marc Andressan (ning) joins Facebook BOD<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is interesting, could it tell of the future of Ning and Facebook? Located a few blocks from each other, they have a lot of similarities and could eventually benefit from tying data, resources, and even members. To watch for sure as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techcrunch.com\/2008\/06\/29\/confirmed-marc-andreessen-joins-facebooks-board-of-directors\/\">Marc moves closer to Facebook  by joining the Board of Directores<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Save your boss time, send them this digest, leave a comment if I missed any.
