This San Jose Landmark James Lick Observatory in San Jose can be seen from nearly everywhere as a white dot in the east San Jose hills from the 408 area on a clear day. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive up to the mountain where you’ll find some incredible views. There’s some gorgeous hiking trails in the area as well, worth checking out. It’s even viewable from satellite, on Google Maps.
